Voting and Taxation Without Representation

42% of voting age Americans are independents, compared to 29% democrats and 26% republicans.

Independents are barred from voting in most primaries and caucuses, including large states like New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

But their taxes are used to run those elections, which determine the two viable candidates for President in November. That is taxation without representation.

Didn’t we fight a bloody war from 1775 to 1781 to rid ourselves of taxation without representation? Didn’t we win that war?
