“I Don’t Answer Questions” Witness The Power Of Remaining Silent

Bringing about change in how our public servants treat us can only take place if YOU start to understand and insert your rights. Civil disobedience is one way to effect this change. It is very important to understand that the 5th Amendment protects the innocent more than the guilty. Knowing how to assert your rights is not only a good idea to prevent from being unlawfully kidnapped or caged, but it is also a successful catalyst for change when applied on a large enough scale. Remember, “Everything you say can and will be held against you.” This video shows how to properly remain silent during police interactions. It is as simple as stating, “I do not answer questions.” Because of the SCOTUS ruling in Salinas v. Texas, you are now expected to know that you have a right against self-incrimination, and unless you specifically and clearly invoke this right, anything you say or do not say, including your mannerisms at the time you stop talking, can be used against you. You actually have to say, “I do not answer questions.” Don’t concern yourself with what kind of interrogation you’re in. Don’t worry about whether Salinas applies in your particular situation. Just invoke your 5th Amendment right immediately, verbally, and clearly. Being stopped by police can be a particularly stressful experience. An innocent individual can easily get tricked into self-incriminating themselves as the police officer badgers and pries for information. Memorizing laws and and statutes can go a long way, however, having a business card handy, that states your rights for you, is much more convenient, especially when under the stress of a police stop. Side 1 “I hereby invoke and refuse to waive all of the following rights and privileges afforded to me by the United States Constitution. I invoke and refuse to waive my 5th Amendment right to Remain Silent. I invoke and refuse to waive my 6th Amendment right to an attorney of my choice. I invoke and refuse to waive my 4th Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. If I am not presently under arrest, or under investigatory detention, please allow me to leave.” Side 2 “Officer, I Assert My Fifth Amendment Rights As Stated On This Card” Pursuant to the law, as established by the United States Supreme Court, my lawyer has advised me not to talk to anyone and not to answer questions about any pending criminal case or any other civil, administrative, judicial, investigatory or adjudicatory matter. Following his advice, I do not wish to talk to anyone about any criminal, civil, administrative, judicial, investigatory or adjudicatory matter, without my lawyer present. I waive no legal rights, nor give any consents, nor submit to any tests or other procedures, without my lawyer present. I ask that no one question or talk to me, without my lawyer here to advise me. Below is a video which shows the effectiveness of these business cards. Are you awake Yet? As a reader you deserve to know the truth behind the disasters America... read more

Police over stepping their bounds

Please watch the video below after you finish reading this blog. You won’t believe the nerve of these police officers. A mother and father were on their way home with their 2 week old baby when they were stopped by police officers. Andre Stockett, the father and the passenger in the vehicle, and the man who took the video, has a good understanding of his rights when dealing with police. And you should as well. Despite the police pulling over the vehicle, for an alleged “traffic violation,” they do nothing to the driver. Her license is run and it comes back valid so they have nothing on them, yet like bullies on the playground they begin ganging up on Stockett. Stockett has committed no crime and has not been suspected of committing a crime, so he lawfully refuses to identify himself. You do not have to identify yourself as a passenger in a car. Period! However, this assertion of his rights does not go over well with the bullies on the playground, so Officer Denny throws a temper tantrum. The K-9 unit is brought in. Remember, K-9’s are not only often poorly trained, they are frequently wrong. They can also be taught to alert on cue. Stockett says that he does not consent to any searches, which is well within his rights. However, Officer Denny knows how to avert these rights; bring in the drug dog. Unfortunately in Illinois v. Caballes, the Supreme Court ruled that police do not need reasonable suspicion to use drug dogs to sniff a vehicle during a legitimate traffic stop and that a drug dog alerting to a vehicle allows them to search it. Can you see how this can go wrong? Stockett could have contended that this was no longer a “legitimate traffic stop” but it seems that nothing was going to stop these jackboots from arresting someone. After the dog allegedly ‘alerted’ to the vehicle, Stockett and his wife are told to get out of the vehicle. When they refuse, because they have a 2 week old infant in the back seat, these thugs threaten to take their baby! At this point in the video, if your blood is not boiling you are not a human being. The police continue to make up new reasons why they were pulled over and why they are being detained/arrested. It is absolutely infuriating. The asininity peaks when officer Denny backtracks and tells the family that he originally pulled them over because their lights weren’t on, but it is clearly daylight outside. Eventually under duress and the threat of violence, the family is forced to exit the vehicle. Stockett was arrest for, wait for it….wait for it, obstruction of justice. These harassing tyrants have the audacity to claim that it was this family who was obstructing justice and not their jackbooted thuggery. Unbelievable. BTW… No drugs were found. You can’t make this stuff up. And without video proof do you think this couple would stand any chance in court? This is happening every day in America... read more

Merck Has Some Explaining To Do Over Its MMR Vaccination Claims

Merck is currently facing serious allegations in regards to the efficacy of its MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine. The claims are put forth by two former Merck scientists-turned-whistleblowers, Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski, who filed a False Claims Act complaint in 2010, along with a senior Centre for Disease Control (CDC) scientist by the name William Thompson. The complaint claim that they “witnessed firsthand the improper testing and data falsification in which Merck engaged to artificially inflate the vaccine’s efficacy findings.” According to the court documents Merck’s misconduct is occurring in many different ways including: Failed to disclose that its mumps vaccine was not as effective as Merck represented Manipulated testing methodology Abandoned undesirable test results Falsified test data Failed to adequately investigate and report the diminished efficacy of its mumps vaccine Falsely verified that each manufacturing lot of mumps vaccine would be as effective as identified in the labeling Falsely certified the accuracy of applications filed with the FDA Falsely certified compliance with the terms of the (Centre for Disease Control) CDC purchase contract Mislabeled, misbranded and falsely certified its mumps vaccine and The suit also alleges: “As the single largest purchaser of childhood vaccines (accounting for more than 50 percent of all vaccine purchasers), the United States is by far the largest financial victim of Merck’s fraud. But the ultimate victims here are the millions of children who every year are being injected with a mumps vaccine that is not providing them with any level of protection against mumps. Merck’s Dismissal Attempt Denied. U.S. District judge threw out Merck’s dismissal attempts earlier this month, which means that this pharmaceutical giant will have to defend itself in at least two Federal court cases. Something To Consider These whistleblowers gave up everything to share this information – their jobs, their credibility, and their reputation. What would they have to gain from falsifying any of this information? They were directly involved in this cover-up and decided to speak out and share the truth. I think it is very important that we pay attention to what they are trying to say. When you really think about it, these are some pretty serious allegations put forth by former Merck and CDC employees, and this is some pretty big news. Why isn’t this information being reported in mainstream news? The media seems to hold a very one-sided view of vaccinations and they aren’t interested in reporting anything that may appear to delegitimize their efficacy. Not only that, it’s clear that with actions such as this, one of the main focuses for these companies is profit. They will take profit over making an effective vaccine and that’s exactly what they have done here. So is it possible that they could also sway data and life about the true dangers of a vaccine just as they did with how effective it is? Not About “Pro” or “Anti” Anything, It’s About Information It is important that we look at both sides of the vaccine story. You do not need to be “pro” or “anti” anything, we... read more

Civil Disobedience

While having a perfect law enforcement sounds great, who keeps government in check? It is true that governments do not reform themselves. It requires the people, activism and organizing to preserve our rights. And damn the American people if we ever forget it. When we look back on history, the progress of Western civilization and human rights is actually founded on the violation of law. America was of course born out of a violent revolution that was an outrageous treason against the crown and established order of the day. History shows that the righting of historical wrongs is often born from acts of unrepentant criminality. Slavery. The protection of persecuted Jews. But even on less extremist topics, we can find similar examples. How about the prohibition of alcohol? Gay marriage? Marijuana? Traffic and parking tickets? “Where would we be today if the government, enjoying powers of perfect surveillance and enforcement, had—entirely within the law—rounded up, imprisoned, and shamed all of these lawbreakers? Civil Disobedience! Ultimately, if people lose their willingness to recognize that there are times in our history when legality becomes distinct from morality, we aren’t just giving up power and control of our rights to government, but our agency in determining their futures. Governments today are power hungry machines and they ignore their citizens’ problems and instead control their citizens’ behavior. How do we combat this? We need to remove any interference in our elected leaders enforcement our rights and liberties. You can see this dynamic today in the statements of government officials complaining about the adoption of encryption by major technology providers. The idea here isn’t to fling ourselves into anarchy and do away with government, but to remind the government that there must always be a balance of power between the governing and the governed, and that as the progress of science increasingly empowers communities and individuals, there will be more and more areas of our lives where—if government insists on behaving poorly and with a callous disregard for the citizen—we can find ways to reduce or remove their powers on a new—and permanent—basis. Our rights are not granted by governments. They are inherent to our nature. But it’s entirely the opposite for governments: their privileges are precisely equal to only those which we suffer them to enjoy. We haven’t had to think about that much in the last few decades because quality of life has been increasing across almost all measures in a significant way, and that has led to a comfortable complacency. But here and there throughout history, we’ll occasionally come across these periods where governments think more about what they ‘can’ do rather than what they ‘should’ do, and what is lawful will become increasingly distinct from what is moral. In such times, we’d do well to remember that at the end of the day, the law doesn’t defend us; we defend the law. And when it becomes contrary to our morals, we have both the right and the responsibility to rebalance it toward just ends. “Those who profess to favor freedom,... read more

Yes, Your Samsung Smart TV Does Listen To Your Private Conversations

The revelation that Samsung’s Smart TV can and will listen to your conversations, and will share the details with a third party is just more proof we are ignorant about what is going on around us. Yes, you read that right. Samsung’s Smart TV can will listen to your conversations. Here’s the actual language from the privacy policy itself: Voice Recognition: You can control your SmartTV, and use many of its features, with voice commands. If you enable Voice Recognition, you can interact with your Smart TV using your voice. To provide you the Voice Recognition feature, some voice commands may be transmitted (along with information about your device, including device identifiers) to a third-party service that converts speech to text or to the extent necessary to provide the Voice Recognition features to you. In addition, Samsung may collect and your device may capture voice commands and associated texts so that we can provide you with Voice Recognition features and evaluate and improve the features. Please be aware that if your spoken words include personal or other sensitive information, that information will be among the data captured and transmitted to a third party through your use of Voice Recognition. This is direct from Samsungs privacy policy and can be viewed here… http://www.samsung.com/sg/info/privacy/smarttv.html While the privacy policy statement is disturbing in its own right, the extent of how crazy it is has to do with the fact that this information will be shared with a “third party.” This begs the question, who is this third party? You should have concerns. First, this seems very vulnerabal to hackers. So even if we can be assured that Samsung and the third party isn’t up to anything sneaky, is the entire process secure enough to protect ourselves from hackers, or an intelligence agency like the NSA? I have my doubts. Beyond this, there is an equally important concern regarding how this trend might progress into the future, and how it will future erode personal privacy if we don’t address it now. Take Facebook for example. In its early days it was a seemingly benign, efficient and enjoyable way to stay in touch with friends and reconnect with old ones. It lured in over a billion users and then essentially decided to turn on all of them without really ever letting anyone know in order to make an incredible amount of money. Although it might be completely innocent right now, that in no way, shape or form means it will remain that way. In fact, once everyone is hooked on SmartTVs and forgets about this whole hubbub, these companies could eagerly turn around and sell all of your private conversation details to advertisers or worse be used against you. Eminent Domain – Are You Awake Yet?

Sometimes we need to put things in perspective. We need to leave our egos and opinions at the door and start understanding what is really at stake here. Maybe you never heard of Eminent Domain. If you every had anything taken away from you by government, you’ve experienced it first hand. “None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe The 14th Amendment in 1868 granted the US government eminent domain power to expropriate private property in the name of the “public good.” There’s also the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) which wields enormous zoning and regulatory power, as well as school and property taxes, and environmental considerations which take precedence over private property and individual rights. You don’t pay your property taxes? The government takes your house. So is it really your house to begin with? Also, FEMA can seize your property during “emergencies.” Furthermore, think civil forfeiture laws and what the US government can seize in the name of the “War on Crime.” It may also be taken for reasons of public safety. Fight “The Man” on any of the above and “The Man” wins. If the government wants your property, it will find a way to get it. Also, remember the government owns over 600 million acres across the 50 states. Just ask Cliven Bundy. What we find misleading it that government and states own NOTHING! The citizen (tax payers) own it all. Our government does not own a thing. The government has detonated hundreds of nuclear bombs in Nevada, killed untold millions of kids and innocent people in its endless wars and they say Cliven Bundy’s cattle could be harmful to the desert tortoise. Are the Common Core Standards a Good Idea? You Be The Judge.

45 states and the District of Columbia have already adopted the Common Core State Standards for their public schools, a set of common curriculum guidelines promoted by the National Governors Association and the Obama administration. The standards, which are for math and language arts, are meant to “provide a consistent, clear understanding of what students are expected to learn, so teachers and parents know what they need to do to help them.” Take a look at the video below. You tell me how well Common Core works. This is what is being taught to our children. This is a decision your government made without consulting you or getting your consent. We will be writing more about Common Core in our newsletters here is why we think its a bad idea. It’s was forced down our throats by cover of darkness, we had no say in the decision process and it was developed by lobbyists. The Common Core was developed in a private meeting by a non-governmental body. It was written behind closed doors by NGA Center and CCSSO. Who are they you ask? They are lobbyist groups. And guess what… they own common core. This is in their public license agreement… “NGA Center/CCSSO shall be acknowledged as the sole owners and developers of the Common Core state Standards, and no claims to the contrary shall be made.” The thing that should scare you most about these groups is that they are unaccountable to you and I. No one can touch them. The curriculum being taught in our schools is owned by these lobbyists. Once Common Core was built, States were then encouraged to adopt the standards in an Department of Education grant competition that was part of the 2009 stimulus bill. Oh wait… you didn’t know that? And now that the secretive, top-down, elite-driven education reform was thrust onto unsuspecting students, parents and teachers, American taxpayers will wonder why they are being asked to pay for what is turning out to be an extremely expensive project with most of the benefits going to a few large companies. The larger question that should be asked, then, is — why should they get to decide education policy for the nation? What qualifications do they have? Those involved in writing the Common Core have a particular view of education. It is their view of how children should educated, but it is not a view shared by educators, parents and education professors. So if educators, parents and education professors don’t like it, WHY WAS IT IMPLEMENTED AND BEING USED NOW? And why such rapid transformation of common core into our schools? Did you know that Common Core is already part of the SATs? Why is their secrecy from government and refusal to talk about it? Americans hold certain expectations of how education should be reformed — with parent and teacher input; through deliberation (both talking and listening) and democratic processes; and through trial, error and re-reforms at the local and state level. Common Core did none of those things and that is why... read more

Cops Turn Off Dashcam. Why?

An unarmed 18 year old, Cortez Bufford, found himself pulled over by police in St. Louis for allegedly making an illegal u-turn. This is the treatment he received.. Watch the video below… The police originally charged Cortez Bufford with a bizarre lengthy list of crimes that were later dropped… They said that Bufford was a suspect in a local shooting; that he had marijuana on him; that he had an illegal gun; and that he assaulted officers and resisted arrest. Curiously enough there was no drugs or guns found. oh yeah, and there was that illegal u-turn as well. Police dropped all charges. At about the 6:00 mark in the video, officer force Bufford out of his vehicle and begin beating him, tasering him and yelling that he should “remain still” and “stop resisting” all the while. He is never resisting. By 7:51 in the video, Officer Kelli Swinton approaches fellow officer Burkemper’s patrol car, as she loudly yells: “Hold up. Hold up, y’all. Hold up. Hold up, everybody, hold up. We’re red right now, so if you guys are worried about cameras, just wait.” That’s when the audio cuts out, and the video abruptly ends only eight seconds later. Bufford’s lawyers say that their client was brutally beaten once all of the cameras were off. Dropping the charges against Bufford was part of that. They have been hoping that this would all just go away, and indeed, for a while, it seemed that the events surrounding the shooting death of Michael Brown and the Ferguson protests were going to help them keep this buried. But now the videos are seeing the light of day, and it’s up to all of us to help spread the word so this ends up as headline news! Are you awake Yet?
