Eminent Domain – Are You Awake Yet?

Sometimes we need to put things in perspective. We need to leave our egos and opinions at the door and start understanding what is really at stake here.

Maybe you never heard of Eminent Domain. If you every had anything taken away from you by government, you’ve experienced it first hand.

The 14th Amendment in 1868 granted the US government eminent domain power to expropriate private property in the name of the “public good.” There’s also the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) which wields enormous zoning and regulatory power, as well as school and property taxes, and environmental considerations which take precedence over private property and individual rights. You don’t pay your property taxes? The government takes your house. So is it really your house to begin with?

Also, FEMA can seize your property during “emergencies.” Furthermore, think civil forfeiture laws and what the US government can seize in the name of the “War on Crime.” It may also be taken for reasons of public safety.

Fight “The Man” on any of the above and “The Man” wins. If the government wants your property, it will find a way to get it. Also, remember the government owns over 600 million acres across the 50 states. Just ask Cliven Bundy.

What we find misleading it that government and states own NOTHING! The citizen (tax payers) own it all. Our government does not own a thing.

The government has detonated hundreds of nuclear bombs in Nevada, killed untold millions of kids and innocent people in its endless wars and they say Cliven Bundy’s cattle could be harmful to the desert tortoise.
