Family served arrest warrants for ‘disturbing the peace’ at graduation
You can’t even cheer when you son or daughter graduate. This only scratches the surface. Do you know who you are? Four people who cheered — allegedly excessively — for their loved ones at a high school graduation ceremony in Senatobia, Mississippi, and have been slapped with an excessive punishment. After watching her niece walk across the stage at Senatobia High School’s graduation ceremony on May 21, Ursula Miller received a warrant for her arrest for disturbing the peace. “I just called her name out. ‘Lakaydra,’ Just like that,” Miller said. Now, Miller said, she has to appear in court or could face at least a $500 fine. Henry Walker waved a towel and yelled, “You did it baby,” to his sister as he walked out of the ceremony. He is another one of the four who also received the warrant. It’s crazy! “The fact that someone might have to bond out of jail, pay court costs … for expressing my love — it’s ridiculous to say the least. Superintendent Jay Foster doesn’t think the punishment is ridiculous at all, especially after he said he reminded audience members repeatedly to hold their applause until the end of the ceremony. There is no crime here people. They broke no law. If we continue to be sheeple it only gets worse from here. Are you awake Yet? If you thought that Obama’s 2008 election just didn’t seem right, it turns out you were on to something.
Obama Admin. Officials Convicted Of Voter Fraud In Obama Election If you thought that Obama’s 2008 election just didn’t seem right, it turns out you were on to something. At the end of last month, two Democratic officials from Indiana were arrested and convicted of ballot fraud. It appears that Obama truly wasn’t eligible to be on the ballot. Chairman Butch Morgan Jr. from St. Joseph County was convicted of felony conspiracy to commit petition fraud and forgery. Dustin Blyth, who served on the Board of Elections, was charged with felony forgery and several counts of making a false petition. Both men were charged and convicted for submitting fake names and signatures on petitions that were designed to get Obama and Hillary Clinton onto the 2008 primary ballots. Morgan seems to have been the driver of the actions. County Sheriffs have uncovered that many locals of St. Joseph county appeared on the petitions, although they have sworn they never signed them. Unfortunately, the case wasn’t brought to the court until 2011, when Lucas Burkett of the Board of Registration decided that he felt too guilty to continue carrying the secret. Authorities determined that had the criminal action not taken place, Obama probably wouldn’t have appeared on the ballot in St. Joseph County. What do you think should be done about the fraud? Why The $5.7 Billion Dollar Fine On Big Banks Is Actually A Joke
The Justice Department announced that 5 major banks will be fined a total of about $5.7 billion. The banks plead guilty to manipulating global currency and interest rates as far back as 2007. Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays the Royal Bank of Scotland, and Swiss bank, UBS, will pay fines that symbolize the government’s desire to reign in the power of the financial elite. The New York Times painted the fines as a win because while banks have entered guilty pleas before, they have always been from subsidiaries of the parent companies. This time, the parent companies themselves plead guilty. While symbolically, the move appears to reprimand evil bankers, the reality is that such fines are miniscule compared to the profits banks reap. $5.7 billion dollars is nothing compared to the $40.24 billion net income that banks earned in the second quarter of 2014 alone. It was the second highest profit total in the last 23 years, surpassed only by 2013. Further, the fines are nothing compared to the trillions of dollars in bailouts that banks received at the outset of the financial crisis. What is more unsettling about the DOJ tap on the wrist is that while major banks must pay $5.7 billion, in the first quarter of 2015, customers were charged $2.5 billion in overdraft fees. Three major banks (JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America) took $1.1 billion of this total. Some 600 others raked in the rest. Still, the “earnings” made up only 6% of bank profits for the major three involved. Overdraft fees for a single year could easily cover the $5.7 billion charged to the banks today. This discredits the alleged effectiveness of fining financial institutions for these transgressions. Though it is predictable that a government bought and paid for by bankers refuses to seriously address the stranglehold of their power over the economy and government, it is outrageous that the DOJ is attempting to portray such meager fines as a win for the people. “Today’s historic resolutions are the latest in our ongoing efforts to investigate and prosecute financial crimes, and they serve as a stark reminder that this Department of Justice intends to vigorously prosecute all those who tilt the economic system in their favor; who subvert our marketplaces; and who enrich themselves at the expense of American consumers.” Over and over, the state fines banks hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars for transgressions and policies that hurt a... read more

Big Banks Fined $5.7 Billion After Pleading Guilty to Global Currency Conspiracy
Six of the biggest names in global finance shelled out billions of dollars Wednesday to settle charges of rigging currency markets, and all they got were slaps on the wrist. On Wednesday, the Department of Justice announced that five major banks – Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland, JPMorgan Chase, UBS and Citigroup – will be fined approximately $5.7 billion after pleading guilty to crimes involving the manipulation of global currencies and interest rates. Not one of them will go to jail. “The big banks have been caught red-handed conspiring to manipulate financial markets … but not a single trader is being held individually accountable. That’s not accountability for Wall Street. It’s business as usual, and guess who pays for it? YOU! Since the financial crisis, nearly every major financial institution has struck some sort of government deal to close probes on a sundry list of wrongdoing, including mortgage servicing flaws, offshore tax evasion and aiding rogue nations like Iran in evading U.S. sanctions. But while the government has pulled in the largest monetary settlements in history during that time, with several reaching billions of dollars, the continued failure to prosecute high-ranking executives at any of these firms proves YOU are one big sucker for letting this continue to happen. Yeah, that is your money they are playing with and that is your money they are paying the fines with. The banking system is rigged and your contributing to their wealth. You’ve been warned. Are GMOs A Bad Idea? Maybe This 15 Year Old Knows The Truth… Do You?
Recently TEDx Toronto held its event which featured a popular figure amongst the GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) community, Rachel Parent. She first started studying GMOs at the age of 12 while doing a school project. By 14 she had a heated TV debate with Kevin O’Leary which went viral and put her name and message on the map for all to see. See video below. Rachel is currently part of the United Nations Youth Leaders Education program and is the founder of Kids Right To Know, which is an organization with the mission of informing the public about food safety. Below you will find her very informative TEDx talk on the subject of GMOs. GMO Science If you’ve been following GMO news almost since their inception you are probably familiar with the fact that there is a lot of controversy and differing opinions surrounding their safety. Many believe that we don’t currently know the long term effects of GMOs and frankly they’re right. We are essentially using humanity as a gigantic genetic experiment when it comes to GMOs and to many, that’s a scary reality. Those in favor of GMOs believe they are completely safe and claim that their science also shows that. While many of the GMO safety studies have been funded by biotech companies creating GMOs or by companies who could gain financially from GMOs, they don’t seem to want to admit their potential bias that could exist. This along with the fact that a large body of independent studies have shown health and environmental concerns time and time again. But who’s right? Who has science that is more sound? Or perhaps do we simply not understand the GMO field as much as we would like at this point? Why Do We Need GMOs? If we don’t know what’s right or wrong about GMOs entirely, why not simply look at why we are using them in the first place and then assess whether it’s worth the risk. Rachel Parent does just that in her TEDx talk. When you consider the main arguments: GMOs are needed to feed the world and may produce higher yields, we see very quickly that neither of these are true nor necessary. We can grow enough food and feed the world very easily, the issue is poverty not food abundance. And yields? GMO yields are the same as conventional yields, which is the same or even sometimes worse than organic farming yields. The... read more
