Why Mess With The Electoral College?

Take a look at the image above. This is the very reason we have an Electoral College. Rather than produce a top-quality presidential candidate who loves America and respects the Constitution, Democrats are working on a way to circumvent the Electoral College, the method by which we have elected presidents of the United States since 1789. Article 2, Section 1 lays out the system. But like most other aspects of constitutional Rule of Law, leftists hold it in contempt. As Governer Polis said… “I’ve long supported electing the president by who gets the most votes. It’s a way to move towards direct election of the president.” Sorry, Governor, but you are woefully misinformed. “Direct” election of the president is exactly what we don’t want. It wasn’t a goal in the Constitution. Had we gone that way in 2016, Hillary Clinton would have become president on the strength of her vote totals based almost exclusively on a handful of major urban hubs. Certainly not a candidate representative of the whole nation. Leftists would love a national popular vote for president. It would most assuredly give rise to greater voter fraud, further fracturing of the political system, and, despite leftist claims, reduced power of individual votes. If anything, 2016 proves that we do need an Electoral College. Clinton almost had it locked up by campaigning in only a handful of urban areas — mostly the big blue vote buckets like LA, NYC, Chicago, and San Francisco. None of this can be explained to leftists, though. They cannot win in the arena of ideas, so they want to change the rules of the game. So far, they have been very clever about exploiting the so-called problems of the Electoral College. The first thing to remember is that there is no problem with the Electoral College. Except if you are a Democrat who can only win by pitting segments of the nation against one another. Something to think about anyway. Are you awake Yet? Pity The Nation Whose People Are Sheep And Whose Shepherds Mislead Them

“Pity the nation whose people are sheep And whose shepherds mislead them Pity the nation whose leaders are liars Whose sages are silenced And whose bigots haunt the airwaves Pity the nation that raises not its voice Except to praise conquerors And acclaim the bully as hero And aims to rule the world By force and by torture… Pity the nation oh pity the people who allow their rights to erode and their freedoms to be washed away…” —Lawrence Ferlinghetti,... read more

Don’t Put A Label On Us

ANY TIME ANYONE POST SOMETHING FACEBOOK DOWNLOADS THE POST WITH 3 MINUTES, LOOKS AT IT AND DECIDES IF IT IS TOO MUCH TRUTH AND DELETES IT!. PROBLEM IS… THEY ARE PROTECTING YOU FROM REALITY. Very much like in Nazi Germany, USSR or North Korea. All Senators and Representatives in Congress who are not prepared to fix this should step down immediately too. WE ARE NOT IN CAPITALISM, WE ARE IN CORPORATISM. IN CAPITALISM – THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT & WHICHEVER SMALL BUSINESSES SOLVED CUSTOMER PROBLEMS PROSPERED. When was the last time that was correct? IN CORPORATISM – MONOPOLIES ELIMINATE ALL COMPETITIONS, CREATE PROBLEMS AND FORCE US TO PAY FOR THEM. SOUND FAMILIAR? Think about it! Are you awake yet?   America’s Great Awakening book is now available. This country was formed by great men, true Patriots who literally risked everything. With wisdom learned from their forefather’s mistakes as well as their own they formed a plan whereby those of us that came after would never have to take the same risk as long as we remained vigilant. Sadly, we have not held up those standards set by our forefathers. Instead, Patriots are ridiculed for railing against the government, but that is how America came to be a nation. A Patriot does not fight with government simply because he or she does not agree with government, but do so because a Patriot sees the long range harm and danger in “letting things ride” that are created outside of government authority. We’re slowly realizing that a world has been pulled over our eyes to blind us from the Truth, and more importantly we’re realizing that we are free to create a new world, a better world.  As Margaret Mead once said… Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. Are We Close To A Dictatorship In America?

Every time a president declares a “national emergency” in order to get his way on a particular issue, the closer we are to a dictatorship. Who needs Congress or the people if the president can make the decision on issues by himself? This is a very dangerous precedent. One thing that all Americans want to believe is that it can’t happen here. But it can happen anywhere. It may be happening right now. When a president can just do what he wants and pass national emergency orders at will, we may not be that far off. But it really couldn’t happen here, could it? Are you awake... read more

A New Billionaire Is Minted Every Two Days

A new billionaire is minted every two days, according to an Oxfam study. As a result, the top 0.1 percent owns a greater share of the nation’s wealth than the bottom 90 percent combined. The richest dynastic families in the United States have seen their wealth expand at a dizzying pace. The three wealthiest families—the Waltons, the Kochs, and the Mars—increased their wealth by nearly 6,000 percent since 1983. In other words, the rich in the United States has accumulated a metric crap ton of money. And what are they doing with this immense wealth and power? Daniel Snyder (#368 on the Forbes 400) just bought the world’s first mega-yacht, with an IMAX theater on it, for $100 million. Hedge fund billionaire Kenneth Griffin (#45) just broke the record for the highest price ever paid for a house — $238 million — for an apartment in Manhattan’s “Billionaires’ Row.” Add in a few private jets, a couple of absurd presidential runs, and those Trump tax cuts, and you get a pretty accurate depiction of the priorities of billionaire spending. Meanwhile, the rest of the country isn’t shopping for yachts and jets. Most families are forced to work longer hours for lower wages just to make ends meet. Despite massive increases in growth and productivity, the median family saw their wealth go down over the past three decades, not up. The proportion of families with zero or negative wealth (meaning they owe more than they own) jumped from 1 in 6 to 1 in 5. Relatedly, our roads and bridges are crumbling and our public schools are desperately underfunded. It doesn’t take an economist to tell you this isn’t sustainable. So what about those policies to do something about it? Senator Bernie Sanders has proposed a robust addition to the federal estate tax. Billionaires under his plan would pay a top rate of 77 percent on whatever they bequeath to their heirs over $1 billion. But, in all honesty, how is taxing the wealthy going to make joe citizen rich? Well… it won’t, but we are ready to see the rich pay their fair share. Are you awake yet?... read more
